A male baby born to Mrs. Shrutika Chetan Tikhe is currently battling for survival at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Dombivli (East), under the expert care of Dr. Bobby Sadawarti, Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatal Intensivist. The baby was born extremely preterm at just 27 weeks + 3 days, with a very low birth weight of only 830 grams.

Diagnosed with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (Grade III), Apnea of Prematurity, Anemia of Prematurity, and Perinatal Depression, he is currently admitted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and requires continuous life-saving interventions.

Doctors estimate a minimum stay of 25–30 days in the NICU, with specialized care, oxygen support, and constant monitoring. The total cost of treatment is estimated at ₹17,00,000. Given the fragile condition of the child, the expenses may rise as per the baby’s medical needs.

The child’s family is not in a position to bear such a high medical burden. The father, Chetan Tikhe, is a daily wage worker, and the mother is a homemaker. The family is emotionally and financially overwhelmed.
